Mumbai Indians have won the toss and elected to bat first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 51th game of IPL 2019 from Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
In the 1st inning Mumbai Indians openers provided them a majestic start of the inning but Rohit Sharma got out early after scored 24 runs.
While Quinton de Kock scored half century for Mumbai. He scored 69 runs off just faced 58 balls including with 6, fours and 2, sixes.
But in the middle of the inning Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard put some crucial runs with their bat to reach the 162 runs of total at the scoreboard with the lost 5 wickets after played 20 overs.
In the run chase Sunrisers Hyderabad’s openers provided them a great start of the inning Wriddhiman Saha and Martin Guptill.
Saha scored 25 runs off 15 balls and Guptill scored 15 runs off just faced 11 balls.
But in the middle of the inning middle order flopped but Manish Pandey was an outstanding knock of 71 runs off 47 deliveries with the help of 8, fours and 2, sixes.
Nabi and Shankar tried very best to win the contest but could not make their victory over the line & match tied with same scores of 162 runs with the lost 6 wickets.
Contest shaped into the super over where Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and they could not play the whole deliveries of the over, bowled out by Mumbai Indians at the score of 8 runs only with 0.4 overs.
In the runs chase of super over Hardik Pandya hit six to make their victory over the line and set their position in the playoffs.
Mumbai chased the total with in 3 balls and won the super over. Jasprit Bumrah was declared the player of the match for his spectacular bowling performance.
