Scotland have won the toss & elected to bowl first in the 2nd game of ODI series against Sri Lanka from The Grange, Edinburgh.
Sri Lanka’s openers Avishka Fernando and Dimuth Karunaratne provided them a huge opening stand of partnership 123 runs.
Avishka Fernando got out after scored 74 runs off just faced 78 balls with the help of 5, fours and 3, sixes.
Dimuth Karunaratne scored 77 runs off 88 balls including with 7 fours only. Kusal Mendis was amazing with his bat as he knocked 66 runs of 56 balls.
Lahiru Thirimanne at the end of the inning 44 runs not out inning helped Sri Lanka to post 322 runs on the scoreboard with the lost 8 wickets in 50 overs.
In the 2nd Inning Scotland openers Matthew Cross and Kyle Coetzer started well of the inning as they produced 51 runs of opening stand.
Kyle Coetzer got out after scored 34 runs and Matthew Cross was with his half century 55 runs off just faced 71 balls.
George Munsey was only hope of Scotland to fight back after two previous wickets. But he could not make that in the favor of Scotland as victory needed.
George Munsey scored 61 runs off 42 balls but Scotland were bowled out at the score of 199 runs with in 33.2 overs.
Nuwan Pradeep was outstanding with his bowling 4, wickets off just conceded 34 runs i his 7 overs. And he was declared the player of the match.
As Sri Lanka beat to Scotland by 35 runs with DLS Method and won the series as well by 1-0.
