Sri Lanka have won the toss and elected to bowl first against South Africa in the 2nd game of ICC World Cup 2019 warm-up match from Sophia Gardens Cardiff, Cardiff.
In the first inning African’s openers Aiden Markram got out early after scored 21 runs but Hashim Amla played well as he scored his half century 65 runs off 61 along with 9, fours only.
But skipper himself Francois du Plessis was outstanding with his bat as he knocked 88 runs off 69 balls with the help of 7, fours and 4, sixes.
Rassie van der Dussen did also well with his 40 runs Andile Phehlukwayo, Dwaine Pretorius and Chris Morris helped South Africa to post 338 runs on the scoreboard with the lost of 7 wickets after played 50 overs.
In the runs chase Sri Lanka openers Kusal Perera was on duck after faced 2 balls but Dimuth Karunaratne wa truly amazing with his form of batting as he knocked 87 runs for Sri Lanka off just faced 92 balls including with 12, fours.
After lost 3 earlier wickets Kusal Mendis and Angelo Mathews supported and helped their team with their batting performance but both got out.
Mendis was with 37 runs and Mathews was 64 runs and rest of the all batsman even could not reach the score near to the total runs.
As Sri Lanka team were bowled by African at the score of 251 runs with in 42.3 balls. South African team beat to Sri Lanka by 87 runs in the 2nd of ICC World Cup warm-up match 2.
Andile Phehlukwayo was very successful bowler of the match as he took 4 wickets helped Africa easily victory over Sri Lanka.
