But the skipper did exactly what team’s requirement Virat Kohli knocked 67 runs off just faced 63 deliveries with the help of 5, fours.
MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav supported batting line and pushed the runs on the board as scored 28 runs.
While Jadhav scored his half century as knocked 52 runs off 68 balls including 3, fours and only a six that helped India put 224 runs on the scoreboard with the lost of 8 wickets after 50 overs.
In the 2nd inning Afghanistan openers Hazratullah Zazai was cleaned by shami as he scored only 10 runs.
While Gulbadin Naib scored 27 runs & Rahmat Shah was with 36 runs but Hashmatullah Shahidi was looking fine as he got out after scored 21 runs.
Mohammad Nabi did very well as he brought his half century as knocked 52 runs off 55 balls including with 4, fours and only a six.
Najibullah Zadran and Rashid Khan tried a lot but could not make victory in their favor as Shami was amazing bowling spell off taken 4 wickets restricted them as India won by 11 runs.
Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the player of the match for his outstanding bowling performance.
