Liton Tons Power Helped Bangladesh Over Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe tour of Bangladesh where they had their first ODI in Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh have won the toss and elected to bat first.

Bangladesh started their Innings Liton Das and Tamim Iqbal played good knock of batting for opening partnership. But Tamim Iqbal could not continue as he lost his wicket after scoring 24 runs.

Najmul Hossain Shanto also played some sort of good cricket as touching 29 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim did not play long inning as went back to pavilion after scoring 19 runs.

Mahmudullah was going very good as smashing 32 runs off just faced 28 balls. While Liton Das retired hurt after smashing outstanding century of 126 runs by just faced 105 balls with the help of 13, fours and 2, sixes.

Mohammad Mithun was with half centurion that helped them to cross 300 runs and Bangladesh finished up their inning at 321 runs with the lost of 6 wickets after played 50 overs.

While in the runs chase a very poor start by Zimbabwe’s openers Tinashe Kamunhukamwe was clean bowled by Saifuddin. Chamu Chibhabha and Regis Chakabva also could not play much as went back to pavilion.

Brendan Taylor was not in the form as he also flopped to contribute for his team to make runs chase easy. Wesley Madhevere tons up some power his team as well as Sikandar Raza looked good in order to chase the total but could not stay much at the crease.

Tinotenda Mutombodzi and other rest of the players tried themselves but could not even near to total as they were bowled out 152 runs with in 39.1 overs. Bangladesh won by 169 runs & Liton Das was declared the player of the match for his outstanding knocked.
